Porcelain Veneers in Keller Texas
Porcelain veneers are used to correct both the color and the shape of your tooth making for great smile design. Veneers are incredibly thin pieces of custom designed porcelain or plastics that are permanently attached to the front of your teeth with little or no anesthesia required. You might want to have veneers placed if your front teeth are cracked, stained, spaced or discolored. Veneers can last for about 10 or more years depending on the amount of wear they receive.
Porcelain veneers are custom built for each patient created from an impression taken in the cosmetic dentist's office. The veneer is cemented directly to your tooth and will not stain. They're a perfect way to get the beautiful smile you have always wanted.
Who is a Candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are one of the least invasive cosmetic procedures, veneers are for anyone who is dissatisfied with the current look of their smile. Whether that's because a tooth has become chipped, or stained, or if a gap has developed between two teeth, these thin veneers can cover almost anything. If you want to improve the appearance of your smile porcelain veneers may be perfect for you. Porcelain veneers usually require multiple appointments to complete and should be placed on otherwise healthy adult teeth.
What to Expect During Porcelain Veneers Procedures?
At your first appointment, the doctor will take an impression of your teeth. Our dental laboratory will then create a model of your mouth, which will be used to make your temporary and final veneers. During your next visit, your teeth are prepared for the veneers. A second impression is taken, and temporary veneers are placed over your teeth prior to the final porcelain veneers being ready.
At a following appointment, the doctor will remove the temporary veneers, and bond the final veneers into place. Your teeth will then be transformed to their optimal shape and function, and your smile will be greatly improved.
In very few cases a patient will not be a good candidate for veneers. If a patient does not have enough enamel for veneer placement, Dr. Nason will present other options.
